Visit Farnam Manor this Halloween for an experience you will never forget!
"Best safety lies in fear" William Shakespear
In ancient days, Halloween was a celebration to honor the spirits. It is believed the spirits rise to the earth and mingle among the humans this time of year.
Fear was in the air, not knowing if death would soon come with the onset of winter. The land has long been significant.   Many spirits linger and lurk at Farnam Manor. Everett Farnam said before he died in 1884, that he would come back as a raven so he could soar over his property and listen to what men said of him.  His  daughter tragically drowned in the cystern in 1858 at the age of 7. Legend has it that  little Emily's spirit still remains.
Feel the magic of the Farnam Manor, built in 1834, with a lantern lit guided tour through the mysterious halls of the 17 room estate.  Who will you encounter? Each tour is unique because you never know what will happen!  Shadows sweep through the halls, voices, moving objects.... Skeptics have been known to become believers!
Bring your cameras! Visitors have caught some amazing pics in the past weeks!
Tours are about 45 minutes in duration
suitable for children with parental disgression

Your experience will begin in the carriage house built by Everett Farnam around 1840.
There's a lot of cool stuff from the past and present in there, and you'll probably see or feel a connection to the place    nothing evil, no fake blood and gore The spirits are the history.

7pm-11pm
   $15/person

 NEW!   NEVER SEEN BEFORE!
Step foot on the land that was once the gardens of the 3200 acre Farnam Estate!
Dare to travel the winding "Trail to the Unknown".  The creatures of the night will greet you on the moonlit trail. Experience  the natural and possibly the supernatural on a narrow path through the deep woods. Will a wandering soul cross your path?   Celebrate the harvest with the crunching of leaves beneath your feet, the aroma of the autumn air. This is a half mile outdoor  trail. It usually takes about 40 minutes to survive the trail. There have been tales of spirit activity along this trail !You must stay within the boundries of the trail. This is no stroll in the park! There's some rough terraine, so put on some hikin' boots and prepare for adventure! (you will not be permitted on the trail in heels, so leave the "cute" shoes at home!)

Many claim to have seen a large dark shadow at Farnam Manor.  He was in attendance at a wedding reception last weekend! This photo was taken by Hailey, one of the guests.

An image was captured sitting in a chair in the carriage house. It is believed to be Mrs. Farnam according to a spiritualist. Photo courtesy of Becky, a visitor on a recent lantern tour.
